What are Giclée Prints?

The word giclée ("zhee-clay") is a French word used to describe high quality art prints produced using the giclée method. A giclée print accurately reproduces the subtle tonalities of the original art. Therefore a giclée has the look and feel of an original watercolor painting.

The artist’s original art images are scanned and digitally stored in a computer and then sent directly to a high-resolution ink jet printer which uses fine-art quality inks. They are printed on archival watercolor paper that is acid-free.

Like all fine quality art (such as a watercolor), it should not be placed where it will receive prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Each of my giclée prints are limited editions and include a certificate of authenticity as to the total number of the edition.
